Photo Contest
 
This year's contest will include five categories: The Great Outdoors, People, The Animal Kingdom, Local Landmarks, and Abstract Cornpositions. All types of photography, including color, black and white, digital, and film will be accepted. Entry packets including rules and forms are available at the Mary Wilcox Memorial Library school offices, and on the Fall Festival website at whitneypointfallfestival.org or Facebook. Entry deadline is Wednesday, October 10, 2018.

Judging of the Photo Contest will be by Jim "J.W." Johnston. Jim is a fine arts photographer and teaches photography at SUNY Broome.

Entries will be displayed at the Art Room at the Tioghnioga River Academy in Whitney Point throughout the Fall Festival. . A reception with light refreshments will be held for the public Saturday, October 27th at 9:15 a.m.

2018 Photo Contest Winners

 


AGAIN THIS YEAR - there will be a trivia scavenger hunt this year. First place prize is a $100, Second place is a $50 Ace Hardware gift card. This is a fun family event. Pick up contest forms on Oct 22st at the Mary Wilcox Library or the Fall Festival information table in the TRA. Turn them in at TRA no later than 3 pm.

Congratulations to the 2017 Scavenger Hunt winners:
Alfonso Perna, Liam Lynch and Owen Hodkinson.
Second place goes to Tim and Patty Ritchie.

Contest winner's names may be posted on the website, facebook, and/or in the local newspapers.

Due to weight and wall considerations (wood, metal, plexiglass, glass) cannot be accepted. Submit only works mounted on mat-type board or tag board, or framed by mats with cut out windows. Purchased window mats are fine.
